I really wanted to blog every image from this wedding - so much fun, beauty and love. And the light... was amazing! Lizzi's family all came over from New York to help Zach & Lizz celebrate. The Spotted Chook was really perfect for their intimate fun ceremony and the dancing on the deck under the lights was magical! Congratulations Zach & Lizzi! xoxo

There were so many great stories behind Steve & Mayumi's Wedding but the one I like best is the 1000 Cranes that Steve & Mayumi folded. Basically folding 1,000 cranes means a long and prosperous marriage. Can you imagine how long this would take!
I just have to give a shout out to Moda Restaurant too - best Vendor Meals ever, lovely service & atmoshpere! I was very spoilt here!
Ceremony - Stamford Plaza Brisbane
Wedding Planner - Danielle@White+White
Flowers & Styling - Kristy @Imbue

I was asked recently to describe my style - it's really hard to do - for yourself - and like anything it's subjective and they're just labels we put on ourselves anyway. But what I can do is show you my gold - the one's i love - the one's i feel will touch the heart - maybe not immediately but in time when you are looking for what matters and what's important and looking for the moments that created a life of happiness worth remembering some of my images might be there. I know at times I must be boring because I refuse to go dark and negative and that's because i've seen enough dark and negative in my lifetime - it's not what I want for myself or my future. That's why I love weddings i think - its one of the happiest days of your life - my kinda day! something i really want to be part of and help remember so in the dark times you might be lifted by an image like this. It's simple really...

This is one of the most gorgeous Wedding Invitations ever! When I received this I was so intrigued and as I unwrapped the layers I was delighted at every step. The attention to detail is just amazing. From the translucent paper envelope (So you can see the fabric) to the hand stitched fabric envelope to the matching twine decoration, they're beautiful! Thank you to Bec for sharing her handiwork. Brides everywhere - be inspired!
Here's what Bec said about the process of making her diy invites
I made them with a little help from my mum. I wanted something a little different and I was always going to make them myself. I'm a sucker for a bit of diy. The theme for the wedding is 'English cottage garden' (Gregory being a pom and all). My favourite colour is mustard yellow and wanted to incorporate it with a colour palette of moss green, browns and beige. Using inspiration from our theme, I hand painted one original enlarged version of the florals on the invitation. I then scanned it into the computer. After a little fiddling, shrinking and the addition of the event information, I printed the cards off on off white card.
The fabric pockets where stitched by my mum......who is a wizz on the sewing machine, The fabric is a quilting fabric I stumbled across at Spotlight. The gorgeous garden themed fabric tape tags came from Etsy shop 'Retro Nana' and the twine from 'Devine Twine'. I wanted our guests to be able to see the mustard floral fabric through the envelope so I decided not to use envelopes and instead wrapped each invitation with translucent paper from 'Sarbe Invitations' and sealed each with a decorative mailing label from 'Tapeswell'....love their products!!
So that's pretty much it in a nutshell! ...they were fun to put together and our guests have adored them!
